Terms of Service

Last updated: May 11, 2026

Welcome to SeniorGuard Care ("SeniorGuard," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services. By creating an account or using SeniorGuard, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. What SeniorGuard Does

SeniorGuard sends gentle voice and SMS reminders for appointments and tasks you schedule for yourself or for a loved one you care for. We are a reminder service — not a medical, emergency, or monitoring service.

2. Your Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Provide accurate names, phone numbers, and appointment details.
  • Confirm you have permission from any loved one (or their legal representative) before adding their phone number to receive reminders.
  • Keep your account credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorized access.
  • Use the service for lawful, personal, family caregiving purposes only.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

SeniorGuard offers a 30-day free trial, after which paid plans renew automatically at the then-current price (currently starting at $5/month). Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you'll keep access until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months, but if something went wrong, contact us and we'll make it right.

5. No Medical Advice

SeniorGuard does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Reminders are convenience notifications only. Always rely on qualified healthcare providers for medical decisions, and on emergency services (911) for emergencies. SeniorGuard is not an emergency response, alert, or monitoring service.

6. Limitation of Liability

We work hard to deliver every reminder on time, but we cannot guarantee delivery. Carrier outages, wrong numbers, full voicemails, network failures, device issues, or other events outside our control may cause delays or non-delivery.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, SeniorGuard and its team are not liable for any missed appointments, missed medications, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any health outcomes related to a missed or delayed reminder. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

7. Intellectual Property

SeniorGuard, including the name, logo, software, designs, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the service. The data you enter (appointments, names, contacts) belongs to you.

8. Termination

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to others or to the service. You can close your account at any time.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
